Welcome to Francis Tracy Interiors

Specialist in traditional and modern upholstery.

Mark, the owner of Francis Tracy Interiors, has studied upholstery over a period of several years at The British School of Upholstered Furniture, Near Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire and has a particular interest in the restoration and rebuilding of antique and vintage chairs using traditional hand build upholstery techniques.

From his workshop in a rural location near the village of Middle Wallop, Stockbridge, Hampshire, Mark is able to offer a bespoke re-upholstery service ranging from recovering and refreshing a tired chair through to the complete upholstery of chairs and upholstered furniture.

He is happy to advise and recommend how you should proceed with any chair you may be considering either bringing up to date with a more fashionable fabric or perhaps the restoration of your prized flea market antique find that needs the assistance of a professional upholsterer to completely rebuild your chair.

At a time when the resources of our planet are under pressure recycling and reusing chairs through upholstery prevents many perfectly serviceable pieces of furniture from ending up in landfill. Often older chairs are much better constructed than their modern equivalents lasting longer if cared for, repaired and re-upholstered.

You will find images and descriptions of work undertaken by Mark on the gallery page.

If you would like further information on having your upholstered furniture restored or recovered please get in touch via the contact page.
